Until CHUNITHM NEW!!, in-game character variants of Chuni Penguin had unlockable stories consisting of developers' notes. Each variant was modeled after a story Label, and contained information on its respective game version.

After CHUNITHM PARADISE, all game version developers' notes were migrated to the CHUNITHM website, and no story Label Chuni Penguin variants have been released. (This means that no Chuni Penguin variants have been made for Sibyl Spirit Chronicles, Animalia, and Surface Metaverse.)
