Long ago, the ancient people built a highly advanced civilization that has since perished, but its pulse still echoes in the earth.
The Imperial Army, which seeks to unravel the mysteries hidden in ancient civilizations and control great power in its own hands, is at odds with the peace-seeking nations and mythical countries, and the omens of an unprecedented war are felt across the continent...
Meanwhile...
A boy named Shizuma Kurosaki suddenly appears in the northern village of Lent. He accidentally winds up in possession of an ancient sword called Seele Tact, and he decides to pursue his roots and fight the Imperial Army.
Concerto Weiss.
The hope poured into Tact point towards destiny.
- Translation of the Seelisch Tact Soundtrack CD booklet
The Seelisch Tact Label is considered the oldest label in CHUNITHM. The general setting is that of a JRPG, with the majority of its composers having made music for JRPGs prior. Each character page lists their song's composer and their most notable works. The story is complete with plenty of classic JRPG tropes and themes, and acts almost as parody, with love for the genre clearly embedded into its writing.
We recommend reading the Seelisch Tact Label if you like reading short, self-contained stories. It's also fully translated into English!
This Label is completely self-contained to the first version of the game, with all subsequent character entries being Cardmaker exclusives and contest winners. The only outlier is Monsieur Chapeau from CHUNITHM VERSE, who is included in the label for namesake only, with no actual involvement in the label's story.
Seelisch Tact is short, but it has left lingering ties to the Digital and Surface Metaverse Labels that came after it-- even up to the present over 10 years later. Although the storytelling can be lacking compared to the labels to come, there are concepts that are compelling enough to deem it worth reading. The writing noticeably gets better towards the end.
If you love the Metaverse Labels, consider giving it a read-- plenty of elements from Seelisch Tact are further explored in the Metaverse.
Characters are listed in chronological order to their songs listed in-game. This is the recommended reading order.
These characters encompass the entire main story-line of the Label.
These characters are unrelated to the main story of Seelisch Tact, and are attached to the Label by name alone.
