Last time…

Magellan Magellan, a Magellan alien, pursued her dearly beloved Ferdinand Dorado and decided to attend a high school on Earth. After overcoming many trials and tribulations, Magellan finally reached Ferdinand.

However, Ferdinand had been brainwashed by an M33 alien, who had been plotting to invade Earth. Magellan tried to free Ferdinand, but was cornered by the M33’s fierce attacks. Fortunately, the M33 alien was destroyed when Magellan unleashed her full power—an overwhelming ray beam of love for Ferdinand. And so, she won the battle and was able to free Ferdinand from his brainwashing.

In the process, the Earth was also saved, and Magellan was supposed to be living a happy and peaceful life filled with love… The key being supposed to be.

A few months later, at Ferdinand’s house…

“Magellan, what are you up to now…?” Ferdinand muttered absentmindedly as he opened his blank notebook.

“Ahh… No, I have to focus on my studies! Shrug it off…” Ferdinand regains his composure and starts writing in his notebook… But…

"Magellan… Magellan… Magellan, Magellan, Magellan, Magellan! I can't do it! I can't get Magellan out of my head!"

 Throwing his pen aside, Ferdinand opened the image folder on his phone. The photos lined up were of Magellan hugging Ferdinand.

“When we first met, you were so eccentric that I couldn't understand what you were thinking, but lately you've really mellowed out… No, I find it cute now. Grasping my cuffs, smiling at me unexpectedly…”

As he looked at the photo, Ferdinand’s expression relaxed.

“Not only did you make me lunch, but you even fed it to me… Aaaah, oops, I can't help but smile. If you make one for me again…"

Magellan: "Ferdie, I made lunch for you. You'll eat it, right?"

Ferdinand: “Of course! I want to eat the lunches you make every day!”

When he glanced at his smartphone, he saw a photo of them not long after they met. Magellan was smiling innocently, while Ferdinand looked a bit annoyed by the commotion.

"Tomorrow is my date with Magellan... I should get to bed early."

It’s the day of the long-awaited date. When Ferdinand heads to the meeting place, he’s met with an unbelievable sight.

Ferdinand couldn’t process what he was seeing at all.

“Wh– Wh… There’s two Magellans!?”

“Who are you really? You faker~!”

“You ask who I ‘really’ am, but I’m Magellan, aren’t I?”

Everything about the two Magellans is the same, from their voices to their appearances. Supposedly, there are at least three people in the world that share the same face, but is it really possible for two of them to appear so close to one another? It was a hard reality to grasp, even for the intellectual Ferdinand.

“Wh-What in the world is going on…? One of them is the real Magellan… and the other one is… No, wait…?

Just then, Ferdinand came up with a brilliant idea!

“That’s right! The more, the better! Without a doubt, this is my once in a lifetime shot at Magellan harem! How lucky am I to have the chance to date two of her?!”

Interpreting it the way that was most desirable to him, Ferdinand rushes over to the two of them with a bright expression.

“Hello, Magellans! Lovely weather we’re having!”

“F-Ferdie!”

“Aah~ Long time no see~! Even though I haven't seen you in a week, you're still so cool~!"

“Haha, you’re so funny, Magellan. We see each other every day, right?”

“Huh?”

“But what a surprise! I didn’t know there were two Magellans!”

“Th-There’s not! I’m the real one, and that one’s a faker~!”

“Ferdiiiiie, please help… This copycat came out of nowhere, and… I don’t know what the heck is going on!” as she speaks, she staggers towards Ferdinand.

“M-Magellan…?”

“Aah! What are you doing to my beloved?! Stay away from him~!”

“Ferdie… Don’t you like it?”

“It’s a-okay with me! More than okay! I think it would be great if we could keep it like this forever… hehe.”

“Wh-What’s with that face!? I-If that’s how it is, I’m doing it too!”

Magellan in his right hand, Magellan in his left hand. He was blessed with a Magellan on each arm. It would be impossible not to be happy.

“Grr… In the short time I was back on my home planet, you took my place and did whatever you wanted… Unforgivable!”

“Huh~ What are you talking about~? I don’t get it.”

"Ah, so what should we do for our date today?"

“A-a-a-a a d-d-d-date!? No way! You think I’ll allow that~!?”

“That’s irrelevant.”

“Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah–”

“But is it really okay to go on a date without me knowing which one is real…?”

“The project gentleman, as expected of Ferdie.”

“Well…”

“Don’t get all lovey-dovey!”

“How about we have a competition between me and her to see who cares about you the most, Ferdie?”

“I accept the challenge!”

“Ah, well… uh…”

“My beloved will definitely take me on a date!”

“Ferdie, you’ll choose me, right?”

Ferdinand hesitates as he is pressed for an answer, but his decision is…

With Ferdinand between them, sparks fly between the two Magellan’s as they exchange heated glances. 

The Magellan playing coy laughs inwardly, “Hehehe, all according to plan! I’m perfect, just as you’d expect from a Migellan!”

Migellan Migellan. A Migellan alien. Her ability to transform into an exact replica of her target, down to the voice, was perfect for destroying relationships!

—Could there have been a better way to use it?

“I was always going to win from the get go.”

“Now I know you’re trying to make me mad!”

“...Oh yeah?”

“There’s no way. No chance.” As she speaks, Magellan takes Ferdinand’s hand and touches it to her chest. “I know… My heart is pounding. It’s all because of you, Ferdie.”

“M-M-Ma…Magellan…”

“Hehe, your face is bright red. We’ll pick this back up later… After my victory♡”

Ferdinand gulps.

“What are you DOIIIIING!?”

“Nothing?”

“Grrrrr… No matter what kind of dirty tricks a faker uses, we were bound to each other by a red ray beam when I defeated the M33 alien! Our lovey dovey life is meant to be~!” Magellan writhes in agony as she recalls the past.

What Magellan doesn’t know is that Ferdinand wasn’t infatuated with Magellan at the time but with the school madonna!

“Aah… I can see… the cosmos…”

But Ferdinand looked completely relaxed, as if he were melting. He was totally ignoring her! These two… certainly didn’t seem evenly matched.

Finally, the curtain rises on the final battle! The catalyst being none other than Ferdinand.

“Desperate times call for desperate measures.”

—sching. As he speaks, Ferdinand pulls out a ray gun similar to those used by the Magellans.

“What is that?”

“I see! As expected of my sweet Ferdie~!”

“U-Um…?”

Let me explain! For the Magellans, the greatest expression of love is shooting someone with a ray gun. Naturally, Migellan would have no idea.

“This is a Magellan custom. Please accept my feelings!”

“I’m ready to accept you, my love!”

“Please don’t hurt me, Ferdie!”

Magellan spreads her arms wide, ready to embrace the shot, while Migellan looks nervous! Red light gathers at the ray gun in Ferdinand’s hands—

“Um… Ferdie, are you done yet?”

The gathering light grows even stronger—

“Hang on, I see. I’m ready–”

“MAGELLAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!”

“Hyegh!?”

The torrent of red light fires, mercilessly swallowing both Magellans! But who will be the last one standing?

The blast from the ray gun clears. Magellan and Migellan stand in the aftermath of the blast, wounded and gritting their teeth.

“Ugh…” Magellan collapses.

“Hwah… Your love! I caught it!” Magellan gives Migellan a smug look. Victory had been decided. “This proves that I’m the real deal~! Now, my lovey-dovey date with Ferdie… Hehehe. We really are in love… It was decided the second we first met~!”

Hahaha!

Ignoring Magellan’s triumph, Ferdinand approaches the collapsed Migellan.

“Ferd…ie…”

“Magellan…”

“I’m… sorry… I… I lost…”

“...”

“I’m so weak… That’s why I… I can’t be by your side…”

“That’s not…”

“Before you go, can I… Say one last thing?”

“Ah… Of course! You can say anything!”

“Ferdinand… Dorado.”

“...”

“I loved you.” Tears stream down Migellan’s cheeks. It’s beautiful, ephemeral, as it soaks the ground.

“Ferdie~! Dump that loser already and let’s hurry to our lovey-dovey date~!”

In high spirits, Magellan comes running, but she frowns in suspicion as she sensed Ferdinand’s dark mood. He looks back at Magellan with pain in his eyes.

“I… can’t do that.”

“WHAAAT!?”

Magellan freezes in shock, but Ferdinand ignores her and gently embraces Migellan.

“I understand now… You’re my Magellan.”

“Ferd…ie…”

Ferdinand finally realizes the person he doesn’t want to see sad isn’t Magellan, but Migellan in Magellen’s form—

“Let’s go on a date.”

Hearing his words, Magellan’s smile brightens, “Yes!”

Meanwhile, Magellan remains frozen in shock. It’s really pathetic.

“Huh–?”

Magellan laughs mockingly and plants a kiss on Ferdinand’s lips.

“ASDFGHKL–”*[1]. Unable to comprehend the spectacle in front of her, Magellan runs away. “Don’t think for a second that this is over~!!!”

Despite her tough act, Magellan then cries for three hours. Nevertheless, Ferdinand’s lips keep getting stolen!

“I can’t lose like this… Hmm. How can I get my beloved back…?

In times like these, Magellan had the mind of a genius. She isn’t always missing a screw.

“We look almost identical… Hm? That means I’m his type~!”

Talk about shortsighted!

“In other words, if I can invent something that makes people smitten by charm, I can surpass the faker– Hah!”

Suddenly, an electric current flows through Magellan!

“If I just amplify it like this… hehe. This will totally make Ferdie fall head over heels for me. Hehehe.”

With a positive mindset fueling her wicked smile, Magellan turns her humiliation into motivation!

“Where do you want to go next?”

“Anywhere, as long as it’s with you… Oh! Ferdie, you have cream on your face.”

“Huh? Really? Must be from the crepes we had earlier.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll get it for you♪”

It’s been a few hours since Ferdinand and Migellan began their lovey-dovey date, and, unsurprisingly, an assailant descends upon them. 

“Aha! I found you, Faker!!” It’s Magellan, swooping in with a mocking tone in a pose she must think looks cool.

“...Magellan?”

“Go away! Don’t worry about her, Ferdie. She’s just a weirdo.”

“You’re so annoying~! Your evil schemes end now, Faker!!” With a large clang that didn’t at all match its size, Magellan pulls out a ray gun.

“...Isn’t that a ray gun from Magellan’s planet?”

“Huh? Is it dangerous?”

“Ugh…” Migellan and Ferdinand both sigh in annoyance.

“It’s not dangerous. It’s my secret weapon, Lovely Hunter!”

Allow me to explain! This scientific marvel is a combination of the technology used on Planet Magellan and by the M33 aliens! It’s a truly incredible invention! Anyone hit by the beam from this ray gun will have their affection for the user amplified to the max! While it varies from person to person, the effects can last for over a month. The lower the initial affection, the shorter it lasts, but it’s a great way to quickly build a great relationship! It’s an invention every household needs!

“–And so, I’m going to have my lovey-dovey, kissy school life with Ferdie~!”

“You’re just playing with Ferdie’s heart with something like that!”

“Don’t worry, Migellan. My heart will always be yours. I’ve fallen in love with you forever.”

“Is that going to be foreshadowing or something?”

“Ferdie! Please accept my feelings… Oooone mooooore tiiiiiiime~!”

–Bang!

“N-No!”

Everything happened so quickly. Just before the beam hit, Migellan pulled Ferdinand into a protective hug.

“KYAAAAA!?”

“M-Migell–UWAAAAA!!?”

Nevertheless, Migellan’s actions were in vain, and the beam swallowed them both.

“When you wake up, we’ll be lovers~ Wahaha~”

A coercive crime! She’s an overwhelming scoundrel!

Magellan rescued Ferdinand from Migellan’s evil clutches, and now she would be able to live her blissful life in peace… or so she thought.

“You know, I wanted to be just like you.”

“S-Stop it!”

As if delirious with fever, Migellan brings her face closer to Magellan.

“Hey, listen—”

“That’s why I imitated you like this… And tried to take away Ferdie…”

“That’s what this was about!?”

“Magellan!” The voice Magellan wants to hear the most pierces through the air, as if to separate her from Migellan.

“Ferdie– huh?”

“Magellan… I won’t let anyone take you away from me!”

Ferdinand interrupts, something strange about his demeanor, “Are you okay, Magellan? I’m here, you’ll be safe now.”

“You can’t tear us apart… I won’t allow it!”

Ferdinand scoops up Magellan in his arms and runs through the city as the sun begins to set, “...I’m so happy!”

Ferdinand relished in his joy, but it didn’t last for long. Migellan is close behind, chasing them with a blank expression. She moves with precise form, her face unchanging as if she were an android.

“If I fire again, I can stop this!” Magellan shrieks obvious foreshadowing lines as she readies Lovely Hunter.

“Magellan, let’s fly!” As he speaks, Ferdinand suddenly leaps high into the sky.

“H-HEEEEEEY!?”

Lovely Hunter goes flying and falls to the ground. 

–Beep!

“Ah–”

–Crunch!

“W-Wait… Does this mean I have to wait until the effects wear off…?” Sensing danger, Magellan starts running.

“Let’s have a lovey-dovey moment together~!”

“Run, Magellan! I’ll protect you!”

Behind her, Migellan and Ferdinand begin firing their ray guns at each other. It sounds like they’re dying behind her, but Magellan runs frantically without looking back.

“Why…” Magellan reflects on her actions, not understanding what she had done. “How did it end up like this~!?”

Will the day ever come where Magellan can enjoy a loving school life with Ferdinand? This is something… Nobody knows.
